In Kyiv, the main flag of Ukraine was lowered. What happened?

As Kievzelenstroy was informed, the largest flag of the country, installed on the territory of the Memorial complex “National Museum of the History of Ukraine in the Second World War”, was lowered at half-mast due to the predicted worsening of weather conditions, noted on the official portal of Kyiv.

According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, wind gusts of 15–20 m/s are expected in Kyiv and the region (and the danger level is yellow).

“To protect the panel from damage, the flag will remain at half-mast until the end of the day on October 31,” said a message on the Kyiv portal.

They recalled that the flagpole on which the largest flag of Ukraine flutters is installed on the Pechersk Hills.

“Its height is almost 90 m, weight is 32 tons, and the size of the panel is 16 x 24 m,” the message says.
