Changes in Jasionka. The airport will have a new entrance

The construction of a new entrance to the airport in Jasionka near Rzeszów will cost almost PLN 31 million. The main goal of the investment, which is to be ready in 2027, is to improve safety by separating cargo and passenger traffic within the port area.


As Adam Hamryszczak, president of the company managing the airport, announced on Wednesday, this is an extremely important investment for the development of the airport.
– The new entrance together with additional volume infrastructure will significantly improve safety standards and improve the handling of growing air traffic – he added.
As part of the investment, facility for servicing and controlling people, vehicles and goods, including, among others: three-lane car control lock. The facility will be equipped with modern security systems, including X-ray and radiometric inspection of luggage and cargo.
It is also to be built new entrance to the airport connected with the provincial road No. 869 by a roundabout. The new entrance will be located on the provincial road, between the port authorities' administration building and the aviation fuel station.
As the authorities of the Podrzeszów airport emphasize, the main goal of the investment is to improve safety by separating cargo and passenger traffic. – The new entrance will enable the diversification of access points, which will increase the efficiency of passenger, cargo, rescue and operational services – noted the president of the airport.
Currently, the investment is at the stage of developing design documentation and obtaining a permit for the implementation of a public use airport investment, the so-called ZRIL. Podkarpackie Voivode Teresa Kubas-Hul has already initiated the procedure for issuing such a decision.
The total cost of the project is almost PLN 31 million; it was co-financed with almost PLN 19 million from the European Funds for Infrastructure, Climate, Environment 2021-2027 program. (PAP)
