About 300 previously convicted citizens found work with the help of the employment service of the Krasnoyarsk Territory

Since the beginning of the year, about 300 people released from correctional institutions have been employed in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

The employment service provided them with jobs at industrial enterprises, agricultural, road construction, housing and communal services and other organizations in the region. People work as drivers, mechanics, turners, carpenters and other professions. Fair pay and the resulting stability help them recover and take steps in their careers.

The employment service provides comprehensive support to citizens at all stages before securing a job. Returning people to work becomes a measure to prevent and prevent recidivism.

“Together with the penitentiary service, we are implementing measures to prepare convicts for release. Already at this moment we are shaping their career path. Using digital solutions, we provide career guidance to citizens and develop a social adaptation plan,” said Viktor Novikov, head of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Labor and Employment Agency.

An individual support plan is drawn up for each applicant. For many, vocational training is organized in the direction of the employment service. Psychologists work with candidates; they increase citizens’ self-confidence and motivation to find a job.

According to the state program of the Krasnoyarsk Territory “Promoting Employment of the Population”, candidates with a criminal record are offered subsidized jobs. If last year 31 people were employed in this way, then in 2025 there will already be 57 released citizens.

For example, a resident of Achinsk took a subsidized job as a cook in a cafe.

“We found a job for the applicant in accordance with her education and experience. We took on the entire burden associated with approving the candidate. As a result, with our help, the woman returned to a full life, and the employer filled the need for personnel,” said Lyubov Sugak, director of the Personnel Center “Russia Work” in Achinsk.

It should be noted that in 2024, the regional employment service received silver at the III All-Russian competition of professional skills in the field of employment with the “New Vector” project. The initiative is related to the training of qualified personnel for Norilsk enterprises from among citizens serving sentences. Today the project is also being replicated in other territories of the region.

In total, in 2025, with the assistance of the employment service, about 25 thousand residents of the Krasnoyarsk Territory were employed. During this period, 10.5 thousand employers placed almost 145 thousand job offers. Today, 39.3 thousand vacancies are available for applicants. Many are aimed at specialists in the manufacturing industry, construction, agriculture and forestry.
