Profsoyuznaya Street, Volgogradsky Prospekt and Shchelkovskoe Highway will be improved in 2025.
Cable lines from the streets will be removed underground, an additional drainage system will be installed, asphalt will be replaced on sidewalks and roads, modern energy-saving lights and contrast lighting poles will be installed at unregulated pedestrian crossings. Plus: new public transport stops and green lawns along the roads.
Profsoyuznaya Street and Volgogradsky Prospect will acquire green islands with conifers. A tram line will appear on Academician Sakharov Avenue, and another – the third – near the main entrance of VDNKh. Also, city services will tidy up Mantulinskaya, Butyrskaya, and Dubninskaya streets, as well as Novoryazanskoye and Ostashkovskoye highways.
The main work will take place outside the city center. The plans are to improve about 700 small district streets. The 2025 improvement program became the second stage of work on the development of Moscow for the period until 2040.
