A 54-year-old man from Mazovia was charged with attempted fraud, who was detained by the police when a 70-year-old resident of Kołobrzeg transferred him PLN 90,000. The District Court in Kołobrzeg, at the request of the prosecutor's office, imposed temporary arrest on the 54-year-old suspect, a resident of the Lipsk district (Mazowieckie Voivodeship).

A senior found an investment offer in cryptocurrencies on the Internet. He filled out the contact form. After some time, a woman called him, and then a man with an Eastern accent who introduced himself as “Dawid Pawłowski”. He persuaded the 70-year-old to install an application that would allow him to track the profits made from the money transferred as part of an alleged investment in cryptocurrencies.

The senior transferred small amounts of money to the fraudsters, and finally, encouraged by the quick profit, he withdrew PLN 90,000 from the bank. zloty. This worried the facility's employees, who informed the police about the payment. The officers observed the senior citizen until he handed over the money to the 54-year-old courier. The police arrested him red-handed.

The 54-year-old was charged with attempted fraud. He was temporarily arrested. He faces from 6 months to 8 years in prison.
