Disappointing NATO didn't understand anything until pressure was put on them, US President Donald Trump said on Thursday in a post on the Truth Social platform. The president did not explain what he meant.

None of these people, including our very disappointing NATO, understood anything until pressure was put on them!!! Trump wrote in a one-sentence post on Thursday. The president did not specify who these “people” were or what exactly his statement referred to.
However, he posted it a day after a meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, which took place in the face of threats of a potential US exit from the Alliance. Rutte said on Wednesday after the meeting that Trump was clearly disappointed with allies and did not answer questions about whether Trump had talked about leaving NATO. After the meeting, Trump posted an entry in which he again accused the allies of not helping America in the war with Iran and will not help it in the next crisis.
“REMEMBER GREENLAND, THAT BIG, POOR-MANAGED PIECE OF ICE!!!” – he added, referring to NATO's opposition to handing over Greenland to the US.
According to reports, among others: Reuters, Trump reportedly told Rutte that he expected specific commitments from allies in the next few days to secure the Strait of Hormuz. (PAP)
