Colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Manko commented on the photos he published with maps allegedly classified as “secret”

On October 27, Ukrainian blogger and volunteer Sergei Sternenko drew attention to the fact that Manko published photos of a card marked “secret” on TikTok. According to Sternenko, such a publication could help the enemy. He added screenshots of messages from the social network X, where people, including military personnel, are outraged by the situation. Now these photos are no longer on Manko’s account.

According to the colonel, he is surprised that some reputable media outlets, and even the telethon, “were subjected to this provocation, did not check and went to stir up the “zrada.”

He emphasized that someone, other than the enemy, deliberately wants to make the military “stupid, some fools who cannot think,” and this humiliates the entire Armed Forces.

“If you have a conscience and you have now realized that this is not all true. That there are no problems with the cards. That these are not military cards, and especially not classified as “secret”. I showed the same thing that [сервис DeepState, который сотрудничает с Министерством обороны Украины] DeepState or General Staff (AFU). I just told him in more detail so that everyone understands what hard work we do. So correct yourself and apologize. And yes, as for the commander, we created ourselves, so who should lead if not us. This is our child. Each assault unit is the child of both the commanders and their subordinates, and the command. We have been going towards this for many, many years,” his message says.

Also, Manko, in a comment to Suspilny, stated that these images are an ordinary Google Maps with its own marks, which, in his opinion, do not pose a threat and will not harm the operations of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Context

This is not the first scandal that Manko has recently gotten into because of TikTok.

On October 19, the former chief of staff of the 12th Brigade of the National Guard “Azov” Bogdan Krotevich on October 19 on the social network X reported that Manko published videos on TikTok and Instagram with Russian music, recorded after the start of a full-scale war of the aggressor country Russia against Ukraine. In particular, Manko danced to the song “…bu dal” from the Russian group “Pnevmoslon” and chose which character he was from the Russian TV series “The Boy's Word” to the song “Don't Forget” by the Russian group “Combination”.

The military man responded to this that when he “danced” to Russian songs in his videos, he was not so media-conscious, and apologized. The defender emphasized that he is mainly trying to see how and how the enemy country lives.
