Mohamed Salah's future at Liverpool has become increasingly uncertain. The 33-year-old Egyptian striker is once again on the radar of clubs in the Saudi Professional League, who are preparing a colossal bid to bring him to the Middle East.
According to TBR Football, the Saudi Arabian clubs are willing to offer Salah a huge salary, estimated at £150 million a year, if he decides to leave Anfield.
The offer is on the table, it all depends on Salah
British journalist Graeme Bailey claims that the plan is already in place, with only the player's final decision missing.
“The link between Saudi Arabia and Salah is not going to go away, and he doesn't want to go away either. He will definitely end up in the Saudi Pro League at some point. The offer is open, the contract is ready.
There are no ongoing negotiations with him or Liverpool, but there is no need, everything is ready for when he decides,” explained Bailey.
Since his arrival in 2017, when the “Cormorants” acquired him for the sum of 42 million euros from AS Roma, the Egyptian has become an important player in the team and the history of the club: he scored more than 240 goals, won the Premier League and the Champions League, and was the top scorer of the English championship several times.
Last season, Salah scored 29 goals in the Premier League, winning the “Golden Ice”.
Last chance for Liverpool to collect a huge sum
However, the current season is not reminiscent of his past form and the Anfield club may feel that this is the right time for a financially advantageous parting company.
If he accepts the astronomical offer of 150 million pounds, Mohamed Salah would become one of the highest paid footballers in the world, on the same level as Cristiano Ronaldo at Al-Nassr.
