In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a team of construction workers will be judged for mfraud with causing significant damage.
It was established that in 2023, the baron of a gypsy camp invited four members of the clan to organize a criminal scheme in the region targeting pensioners.
“Through advertisements for turnkey construction work posted in cities and districts of the region, morally free nomads offered discounts to elderly people and convincingly promised quick and inexpensive repairs over the phone. However, instead of high-quality services, the accomplices used cheap, low-quality materials, severely saved on the volume of work, and their real cost, according to the findings of the examination, turned out to be several times lower than the amounts received from the victims,” the prosecutor’s office said.
The work was never completed. As a result, 15 residents of the region suffered damage totaling 9 million rubles.
The prosecutor confirmed charges against his accomplices for committing a crime under Part 2 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The case will be considered by the Berezovsky District Court.
