In the regional Ministry of Emergencies, they reminded how to behave when meeting with a bear.

In social networks, videos with bears are increasingly appearing: residents of Krasnoyarsk and the region meet them along the roads and even near settlements, the department said. So, the predator was seen by the village of Manzya, the Boguchansky district, near Lesosibirsk, at the Ryabinino station near Krasnoyarsk and in other places.

In total, according to July 21, since the beginning of the year, specialists have left the appeals of local residents 178 times. If there is a threat to the life and health of people, the decision is made regulation of the number ”, that is, their elimination is allowed. For the first half of the year, 42 such decisions were made in relation to 81 individuals.

How to behave when meeting with a dangerous predator:

• If you saw a bear, stop. Try to maintain calm and assess the situation. If the bear does not notice you, try to leave quietly, without ceasing to follow him.
• If the bear moves in your direction, try not to look threatening, stop. Do not show fear, scream menacingly and try to create a noise. Let the beast understand that you are a person.
• If there is a stone or a stump nearby, stand on it to seem higher. Raise a bag, a backpack, a jacket, etc. above your head.
• Do not throw anything into the bear. This can provoke him to the attack.
• Do not run! You cannot run away from the bear, it can develop speeds to 50 km/h.

In order to avoid meeting with a bear in the forest:

• Always let the bear know that you are in the forest. To do this, sing or talk loudly. You can also tie a bell or a mug with a spoon to the backpack. This will allow the beast to find you and leave in time.
• Do not go one at a time and do not go far from the tent. If you are forced to leave, warn the satellites and take with you a false -fuel and/or “hunter signal”, as well as a knife.
• Do not leave popular tourist trails
• Do not go along the bestial trails. They can bring you directly to predators.
• Do not arrange a landfill on halves, do not leave food in the tent where you are going to sleep. The bear has a developed sense of smell, and the smell of food will necessarily attract his attention.
• If during the trip you noticed the remains of fallen animals, bypass them. This may turn out to be the prey of a bear that he will protect.
