Samsung is launching the Samsung Pay service in Poland and plans to gain one million users in a year, “Rzeczpospolita” found out. The newspaper notes that Koreans are challenging Google, Apple and Blik.

In its Tuesday publication, “Rzeczpospolita” points out that Samsung Pay, a new mobile payment service from Poland's most popular smartphone manufacturer, “may cause quite a stir on the market.” “The company, which in February launched the Samsung Wallet digital wallet, to which users add boarding and loyalty cards, will now add a key option – the ability to make transactions,” we read.
As Marcin Garbarczyk, VP Head of Mobile Experience at Samsung Electronics Polska, reveals in an interview with “Rzeczpospolita”, the Korean company is introducing this solution “on an unprecedented scale”.
“The launch of Samsung Pay in our country may seem very late – competitive solutions such as Apple Pay or Google Pay have already become established here, and the king of payments is the domestic Blik. However, Marcin Garbarczyk claims that Samsung is not afraid of rivals and is targeting at least one million users within the first year of operation of the new service,” writes “Rz”. (PAP)
