The representatives of the Municipal Company thermo -energy Bucharest (CMTEB) explained for Digi24.ro that the supply of heat during the day will begin with the constant drop in the outside temperatures. Currently, the heat is delivered only at night, as the thermal values during the day are maintained over 10 degrees Celsius, sometimes even around 20 degrees.
“The samples at the district heating installations have already been performed. As the temperatures during the day are maintained over 10 degrees Celsius – the previous days being even around 20 degrees Celsius – and many owners associations have not yet opened the basement valves, the supply of heat is done only during the night. Delivery continues during the day will start with their constant drop. said CMTEB representatives for Digi24.
According to the legislation, centralized heating is started after three consecutive days in which the average outer temperature drops below 10 ° C, between 18:00 and 6:00. The heat stop is done after three consecutive days with temperatures over this threshold.
Meanwhile, in other cities in the country, such as Oradea, the heating system has already been started. The Company Termofare Oradea SA gradually started the supply of the thermal agent from October 2, 2025, after the night temperature dropped below 10 ° C three nights in a row. Priority had hospitals, schools, kindergartens and homes.
In Bucharest, CMTEB announced that the process of supplying the thermal agent for the cold season 2025-2026 gradually started on October 6, by starting the production sources and increasing the thermal flow on the network.
Continuous supply during the day will start in the next period, as soon as the outside temperatures decrease constantly below the legal threshold.
