Quickly run after Botoșani! It was fighting for the first place in the Superliga, a Moldovan-Giulia deal

FC Rapid Bucharest defeated Unirea Slobozia with a score of 4-1 (3-0), on Monday evening, in Giulești, in the last match of the 14th stage of the football Superleague.

Claudiu Petrila (7), Rareș Pop (36), Cristian Manea (45+2) scored for Rapid, the goal of honor for the guests being the work of the Peruvian Renato Espinoza (90+1).

Unirea had the chance to open the scoring through Raul Rotund (7), but he missed alone with goalkeeper Marian Aioani. A counterattack followed and Petrila scored with a volley from the edge of the box.

Petrila could have scored the double (27), but sent the ball across the crossbar with his head.

Rareș Pop scored the hosts' second goal (36), in an empty net, after goalkeeper Robert Popa blocked Petrila. Cristian Manea (45+2) scored before the break, with a return shot, after Tobias Christensen's cross.

The last goal of the team coached by Constantin Gâlcă was scored by Dobre (61), from Gojkovic's cross.

Renato Espinoza (90+1) scored his second goal in the Superliga, after being launched by Patrick Dulcea.

The game was a special one for Marian Aioani, the one with number 200 in the Superliga.

Rapid remains level on points with the leader FC Botoșani after this success, the fourth consecutive victory.

Unirea has lost its last three league matches.

Dan Șucu, 62 years old, lives in contrasting times. With Rapid he is at the top of the Superliga, and with Genoa, the other team he patronises, he is in last place in Serie A.
