Earthquake in Turkey. Emergency services are working at the crash site


Earth's crustal tremors were recorded at 10:48 p.m. local time at a depth of 5.99 km. According to Turkey's disaster and emergency management agency AFAD, the epicenter was in the town of Sindirgi in Balikesir province.
The earthquake was also felt in Istanbul, 200 km away, and the nearby provinces of Bursa, Manisa and Izmir, Haberturk TV reported.

Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that there are currently no reports of fatalities. Rescue services were dispatched to the site of a construction disaster caused by tremors.
In August, Singirgi was also hit by a 6.1-magnitude earthquake that killed one person and injured dozens of others.
