Violent clash in CFR – Farul: Hindrich and Cojocaru, full of blood

Violent collision between Otto Hindrich and Ionuț Cojocaru, in the 84th minute of the match between CFR Cluj and Farulfinal score 0-2. None of them could continue, having their noses and heads respectively broken.

With 6 minutes left of regulation time, Ionuț Cojocaru, just entered the field, was searched with a long pass, over the opposing defense. The Dobrogean striker chased the ball, at which point the goalkeeper Otto Hindrich, coming out to remove the danger, hit him violently.

Hindrich headed the ball, but hit the opponent's face. Cojocaru also came out crumpled, hit in the head by Hindrich with his elbow. The first chose with his nose, the other with a broken head.

Both players received medical attention, but were unable to continue the game. Cojocaru's head was bandaged, while Hindrich's nose continued to bleed even after the doctors had taken the first measures.

Hindrich was not penalized for that tackle – not even a yellow card.

The CFR goalkeeper also had a swollen left eye, and Cojocaru also complained of pain in his right arm, which he did not move when the staff helped him to leave the playing field.

4 minutes after the collision, Hindrich's substitution was recorded: Octavian Valceanu entered between the sticks. In the other camp, the change could not be made, because Ianis Zicu had already made them all.

There were 7 minutes left to play, including extra time, but he didn't score, even though Farul played in numerical inferiority that last period.
