On the morning of June 16, 2024, six people entered the duty station through a broken window grill in a cell and took two pre-trial detention center employees hostage. They demanded a car, weapons and the opportunity to leave the country.
42-year-old Bikmaev, together with Akhmed Abusupyanov, persuaded the invaders to lay down their arms and release the hostages. The negotiations ended unsuccessfully, the security forces began storming the detention center, and the terrorists were eliminated.
