The derby between Naples and Interended 3-1 in favor of the Italian champion, got hotter in the second act, after Cristi Chivu's team reduced the difference. In the reserve bench area, a strong verbal conflict broke out between Antonio Conte and two of the Nerazzurri players. Denzel Dumfries and the captain Lautaro Martinez.

Kevin De Bruyne (33' – P), Scott McTominay (54') and Zambo Anguissa (67') scored for Napoli, while the only goal scored by Cristi Chivu's team was scored by Hakan Calhanoglu (59' – P).

The scandal did not stop there, however, as Lautaro continued to make obscene gestures at Antonio Conte, at which point the TV cameras turned their attention to the Italian, who was caught smiling wryly at his former student.

According to those from Corriere dello Sport, Napoli's technician would have shouted to Lautaro Martinez: “You are a cowardly bastard and you should respect me“.

However, it is not the first time that the two have such a clinch. It happened again in 2021, when Conte was preparing Inter.

Lautaro then got angry during a match at being substituted and made Conte “shithole”, after which he threw a bottle of water at him. The conflict degenerated, but in the end the situation was ameliorated, everything ended on a funny note, with the two being the protagonists of a so-called boxing match, of which Romelu Lukaku was the MC.

Following the result recorded on Saturday evening, the Neapolitans have accumulated 18 points and returned to the first position of the ranking in Italy. On the other hand, Cristi Chivu's band remained at the post with number 15 and dropped, for the moment, to 4th place.
