CFR Cluj – Rapid 1-1. The supporters of the team from Giulești went wild, after the elimination from the Romanian Betano Cup. Constantin Gâlcă's team missed the first goal of the season and will only play in the championship this season.

Rapid needed a win in Gruia to qualify for the quarterfinals of the Cup. He failed, entering too late in the match. Thus, the people from Giulești finished in 3rd place, below FC Argeș and CFR Cluj, who go to the elimination stages.

The supporters of Rapid ran wild after the elimination from the Romanian Cup

The fans of Rapid did not like yet another premature elimination from the Romanian Cup and raged on social networks. They criticized the players, among the most frequently mentioned targets being Daniel Paraschiv, the striker transferred in January.

  • “That's it, let's move on! I want the captain to come out for an interview and admit that they are very, very weak and there must be consequences! Premiums stopped, -25% salary for February or even more for this missed goal!”

  • “Perhaps at least we have a joy tonight and we get rid of the Gâlcă mystery, I have not seen a more complicated and meaningless game since we promoted… Shame on you!”

  • “Go away, Angelscule, because no one can stand you anymore!”

  • “Paraschiv is just pretending… Tallison seems to have moved something else”

  • “First goal accomplished, now we're gunning for 6th place as well. Congratulations!”

  • “At least I rested them with Petrol”

  • “Elimination from the Romanian Cup is more than a negative result. It is an alarm signal. Rapid's game suffers visibly, and the lack of courage and identity becomes worrying.

Mr. Gâlcă treated the Romanian Cup with superficiality, lining up a reserve team against Argeș, as if the goal didn't matter”
