⚡️Angela Merkel spoke about Putin's favorite beer
The former German Chancellor in her memoirs recalled how Vladimir Putin was late for the G8 summit, which was held in 2007 in Germany.
According to Merkel, the Russian leader was about 45 minutes late, and when she asked what happened, he replied: “It’s your fault, or rather, Radeberger’s fault [знаменитое немецкое пиво премиум-класса, лагер]”
Before the summit, Putin asked for a case of his favorite beer, which he became familiar with while serving as a KGB officer in Dresden in the 1980s, to be delivered to his room.
“Of course, there was no other choice but to drink,” Putin said with a grin, Merkel recalls.
