Alexandru Cicâldau (28 years old), University midfielder Craiovaexpressed disappointment that his team lost the victory after leading Noah 1-0, but the match on “Ion Oblemenco” ended in a tie, 1-1.

Olteni thus obtained the first point in the unique group of the Conference League and occupies the 28th place, after the first two stages.

Alexandru Cicâldău, disappointed after the draw with Noah: “I had the match in hand”

It was a balanced match. We could have got the three points, but unfortunately we conceded a goal. We have to settle for this point today. Especially in the second half we controlled the game, we had the match in hand, but unfortunately we conceded that goal.

We prepared to play offensively, to press up high. Unfortunately, we happened to concede tonight, right at the end, even though we had the game in hand.

I knew that the match would not be interrupted (no because of the problems with the nocturna). It is a new competition for us, we are very happy. These are the matches we started playing football for and we have to give everything. The supporters always receive us well, they come in large numbers and encourage us”, said Alexandru Cicâldău, at Prima Sport.

We have to train much better, be more aggressive. At this level it is much more difficult than in the championship and we have to raise our level. The supporters were sensational, we thank them for coming out at such a late hour to cheer us on. We hope to win the next matches.

Craiova University returns to the Conference League on November 6, when Mirel Rădoi's students will travel to Austria for the match against Rapid Vienna.

In the meantime, Olten will play two more matches in the Superleague, away with Metaloglobus and at home with Rapid, and between these two duels the first match in the Romanian Cup group, with Sănătatea Cluj, takes place.
