A Turkish cleaning life hack, which quickly gained popularity among Russian housewives, promises impressive results with minimal effort and expense. Its secret is in a simple but effective means for cleaning sanitaryware, prepared from improvised ingredients that can be found in every home.
It's a mixture of vinegar, baking soda and iodine – three readily available ingredients that together provide a powerful cleaning effect. The solution not only removes limescale, yellow stains and deposits, but also disinfects the surface, leaving the toilet sparkling.
How to prepare a miracle remedy:
- Take a glass (200–250 ml) of 9% table vinegar and slightly heat it to a temperature of 40–50 °C – this will activate the reaction.
- Add 1 teaspoon of baking soda – foaming will begin, which enhances the cleansing effect.
- Pour in 3-5 drops of iodine from your home medicine cabinet – it enhances the antiseptic properties of the product.
How to use:
Using a toilet brush, apply the solution to the inside walls of the toilet, paying special attention to dirty areas. After this, do not rinse, close the lid and leave the product to act overnight.
In the morning, simply rinse off with warm water. You will see that the earthenware has become clean, white and shiny – as if new. On many surfaces, even old dirt that previously required intensive scrubbing disappears.
