Distrigaz Sud Networks announces that the supply will gradually resume, starting on Saturday, in the area affected by the explosion in the Rahova neighborhood, for consumers who meet the technical and safety conditions.
Distrigaz Sud Rețele sent, on Friday, clarifications regarding the phased and safe restoration of natural gas supply to customers affected by the unscheduled closure in the Calea Rahovei area of Bucharest.
“According to approval no. 15/19.10.2025, issued by the Decision of the Committee of the Municipality of Bucharest for Emergency Situations, the authorities allowed the implementation of the technical strategy provided for in the approval. Thus, the Distrigaz Sud Networks teams were able to start the preliminary work necessary to prepare the elements of the distribution network in the area, in order to safely resupply the customers affected by the unscheduled shutdown. Starting from Tomorrow, October 25, 2025, the supply of natural gas to customers in the Calea Rahovei area, who meet the technical and safety conditions, will be resumed in stages”, the company announced in a press release.
Thus, on Saturday, between 10:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., the supply of natural gas will resume for customers located in buildings in:
- Câmpeanu Ilie Street no. 2, bl. 18B, staircase C;
- Oltina Street no. 1, bl. 27, stairs 1, 2 and 3; no. 2, bl. 28B, stairs 1, 2 and 3; no. 3, bl. 28A, stairs 1 and 2; no. 4, bl. 23, stair 1;
- Pecineaga Street no. 1, bl. 28A, stairs A and B; no. 3, bl. 28, stairs 1 and 2; no. 4, bl. 23A; no. 5, bl. 29C, stairs 1, 2 and 3; no. 7, bl. 25, stairs 1, 2 and 3; no. 9, bl. 26, stairs 1, 2 and 3; no. 10, bl. 17C, stairs 1 and 2; no. 24; no. 26; no. 28; no. 32; no. 34 and no. 36,

“We request that, between the hours of 10:00 – 20:00, the customers of the above-mentioned buildings ensure the access of Distrigaz Sud Retéle representatives in order to resume the natural gas supply in safe conditions. We mention that, in the case of Owners' Association customers, their members must ensure access to each location/apartment”, the company's representatives sent.
They specify that, for the buildings located on Vicina street no. 1, block 32, stairs 1 and 2; Street Vicina no. 3, block 33, stairs 1, 2 and 3; Calea Rahova no. 319, block 30, stairs 1, 2; Calea Rahova no. 317, block 30A, the resumption of natural gas supply will be done only after the completion of the investigations by the competent bodies.
The company interrupted the natural gas supply for 1,086 household customers following the strong explosion on October 17, produced in the area of Calea Rahovei in Sector 5 of the Capital and resulted in three deaths and 15 injuries, three of them in a very serious condition.
