Zygmunt Solorz's wife Justyna Kulka and Mirosław Błaszczyk were dismissed from the supervisory board of the Netia company belonging to Cyfrowy Polsat – the press office of the Polsat Plus Group informed PAP on Wednesday. Previously, Kulka also lost her seat on the supervisory boards of Telewizja Polsat and Polkomtel.

“In fact, last week there were changes in the Supervisory Boards of several companies. Justyna Kulka was dismissed from the Supervisory Boards of Telewizja Polsat, Polkomtel (Plus network) and Netia. Mirosław Błaszczyk (former head of Cyfrowy Polsat and Polkomtel – PAP) was dismissed from the Supervisory Boards of Telewizja Polsat and Netia,” Tomasz Matwiejczuk from the office told PAP Polsat Plus Group press release.

Wirtualne Media reported on Wednesday morning that Justyna Kulka had disappeared from the supervisory board of Netia's website.

In July this year Zygmunt Solorz was dismissed from the position of chairman of the supervisory boards of Netia, Cyfrowy Polsat, Telewizja Polsat and Polkomtel. The board of the TiVi Foundation appointed Daniel Kaczorowski to replace Solorz in these companies. At the same time, it was also decided to dismiss Mirosław Błaszczyk from the position of president of Cyfrowy Polsat and Polkomtel, and Andrzej Abramczuk was appointed to these positions.

Changes in Netia's supervisory board are another version of the fight by Zygmunt Solorz and his children for control over the businessman's companies. Last week, Solorz and his wife were dismissed from the supervisory board of ZE PAK. The composition of the council – due to the lack of candidates – was not supplemented; Tomasz Szeląg became the new chairman on Thursday. The general meeting is scheduled to continue on November 14.

In September 2024, Gazeta Wyborcza reported that the billionaire's three children sent a warning to the managers of the businessman's four most important companies. The letter included opinions that the well-being of these companies is threatened by people who want to take control of the business, including: o Polsat and strategic companies for the state. The newspaper reported that Zygmunt Solorz's children were in a fierce dispute with his wife Justyna Kulka. On the same day, Solorz announced that he would dismiss his sons from the management boards of companies belonging to his holding.

Last fall, Zygmunt Solorz's sons were dismissed from the management of a number of companies controlled by the billionaire. In May 2025, a court in Liechtenstein dismissed Zygmunt Solorz's lawsuit regarding changes to the statute of his TiVi Foundation, under which control over Solorz's businesses would be taken over by his children. Zygmunt Solorz's main advisor, Radosław Kwaśnicki, informed in “Puls Biznesu” that an appeal against this non-final judgment was filed in June.

Netia is a telecommunications operator dealing with, among others, providing fixed-line access to the Internet and television. According to Netia's website, the company employs almost 2,000 people. people in 70 locations in Poland. The Netia Group includes: Netia SA, Petrotel Sp. z o. o., TK Telekom Sp. z o. o

Zygmunt Solorz's main areas of interest are telecommunications, media, construction and energy. His companies are included in the Polsat Plus Group, Solorz is also the majority shareholder of ZE PAK.

At the end of 1992, the Polsat television he founded began broadcasting via satellite from the Netherlands. In 1993, Polsat was the first private entity to obtain a license to broadcast a program from terrestrial transmitters in Poland. The broadcast started in 1994. In 1999, the Cyfrowy Polsat platform was created. In 2011, Solorz-Żak bought Polkomtel for over PLN 18 billion. Subsequent transactions include: purchase of Netia.

In the annual ranking of the richest Poles by the weekly “Wprost”, Solorz-Żak has been consistently in the top ten since 1998. In 2020 and 2021, he was in first place with assets valued at over PLN 10 billion. (PAP)
