In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the “garage amnesty” allowed 4,094 garages to be officially registered, the regional department of Rosreestr reported.
The “garage amnesty” began to operate on September 1, 2024. It allows people who have been using garages for many years without documents to officially register their rights to them. By the beginning of October 2025, 4,094 rights to the buildings themselves and over 10,230 rights to the land plots under them were registered in the region.
“Over 9 months of this year, Krasnoyarsk residents issued 657 rights to garages and 1,749 rights to land plots. These figures show strong growth compared to the same period last year. If in 2024 562 garages and 1,655 land plots were registered, now there is an increase in demand by 16.9% for garages and 5.7% for land plots,” the department explained.
According to Tatyana Goldobina, head of the Rosreestr Office for the Krasnoyarsk Territory, this dynamics confirms the demand for the program among the population and the effectiveness of the mechanism for simplified registration of rights to garage buildings.
“Statistics demonstrate the growing interest of region residents in registering ownership rights to garages, which not only ensures the protection of their property interests, but also contributes to the development of the regional economy through the introduction of objects into civil circulation,” noted Tatyana Goldobina.
The garage amnesty will be valid until September 1, 2026. Buildings erected before December 29, 2004 can participate in it.
