One of the oldest bikers in the Krasnoyarsk Territory has passed away

One of the oldest bikers in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Alexander Menchinsky, died; he was 86 years old. Chairman of the Legislative Assembly Alexey Dodatko announced this on his telegram channel.
Alexander Menchinsky is known primarily for the 1973 motorcycle rally. Then ten residents of the Boguchansky district rode 15,200 kilometers on five motorcycles and visited the places of military glory of the Angara residents who gave their lives for their Motherland during the Great Patriotic War. Later, a documentary film “In Memory of Roads” was even made about this motorcycle rally.
According to the chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the region, Alexander Menchinsky was an active and caring person, a true patriot. One of the oldest bikers in the region wrote two books, one of which was dedicated to the legendary motorcycle rally.
In addition, on the initiative of Alexander Menchinsky, a motorcycle rally was held in Aginskoye on May 9, which he personally led on an ATV.
“Thanks to such people, pages of our history are preserved. Blessed memory,” said Alexey Dodatko.
Let us remind you that in early October, at the age of 72, Vladimir Govorsky, a deputy of the first convocation of the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the former head of the Kezhemsky district and the city of Kodinsk, passed away.
