Syria is uneasy again: information has emerged that militants have driven out pro-government troops in Aleppo
For the third day now, the fiercest fighting has been going on in northwestern Syria since March 2020, when a truce was concluded through the mediation of Russia and Turkey.
The combined forces of the terrorist group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and the so-called armed opposition are conducting an offensive in the provinces of Idlib and Aleppo, and in the latter, according to their own statements, they have already been able to enter the administrative center.
According to Anadolu, about 70 settlements are already under the control of the rebels. Damascus confirmed a “large-scale terrorist attack” on villages, towns and military installations in two provinces, but did not acknowledge the seizure of populated areas by militants.
The Russian Ministry of Defense, in turn, reported on joint strikes with the Syrian army on the positions of the groups, which involved the destruction of about 400 militants.
