Nikita Dubas and Alexander Kim, who organized a tour of the Neglinka collector, during which 8 people died, were sentenced to 8.5 and 5.5 years in prison.
The group (including teenagers) went on an excursion in August 2023. The route began in a brick sewer built in 1906 on Olimpiysky Prospekt; in the Trubnaya metro area they stopped communicating. The organizers did not take into account the weather conditions – during the hike, heavy rain began, water flooded the sewers, which is why the participants died.
Nikita Dubas partially admitted guilt. The general director of the excursion sales company Sputnik LLC, Alexander Kim, is not. According to the investigation, they: a) did not verify the safety of the excursion; b) when they learned that the weather would be bad, they did not cancel the trip, although they should have done so.
The general director of Avangard LLC (the company through which tickets for the excursion were purchased), Alexander Lazovsky, was put on the wanted list; the day after the tragedy, he flew to the UAE. The victims filed claims for 24 million.
