Egypt will lead the stabilization forces in the Gaza Strip

Ceasefire in the Gaza Strip
The creation of an international stabilization force (ISF) is one of the elements of the second stage of the ceasefire agreement in Israel's war with Hamas in the Gaza Strip. On October 10, the fighting was suspended and the first phase of the agreement came into force from that date.
The second part also assumes, among others, the laying down of weapons by Hamas, the transfer of power in the Gaza Strip to an interim Palestinian administration and the creation of a new police force that would be supported and trained by the ISF.
The details of these issues have not yet been determined and are to be the subject of further negotiations. Hamas representatives have repeatedly declared that they are ready to give up power, but will not lay down their weapons.
