The first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee, Ksenia Goryaeva, opposed the payments to the pregnant schoolgirls. She posted a video with a statement in her social networks.

The deputy believes that such measures, as well as a discussion on the ban on abortion “are more like a systemic normalization of adolescence”, and not care for young girls.

“When a child gives birth to a child, this is not heroism, but a tragedy. Support is important. But support is psychological, medical, social assistance. And not a signal: “Has got pregnant? We will pay. 100 thousand rubles do not solve the situation in which the schoolgirl found himself. They will end faster than awareness of the situation and be confused, ”said Ksenia Goryacheva.

She emphasized that the creation of a family should be a mature step. We will remind, earlier in three subjects of the country they introduced payments to pregnant students. In the Oryol and Kemerovo region, young girls will be able to receive 100 thousand rubles when registering for pregnancy, and in Bryanskaya – a little more, 150 thousand rubles.
