Capital Police: It was possible to enter certain homes in the blocks affected by the explosion so that people could take their goods, money and even pets

The deputy general director of the Capital Police, police chief Marius Andrei, said that all the people who needed accommodation after the explosion recorded on Friday morning in a block on Calea Rahovei were identified and transported during the evening to the places of accommodation made available by the local authorities, reports Agerpres.
“Until late last night, after the specialized intervention of the competent forces, of the competent structures, it was possible to enter certain homes, I mention certain homes in the affected blocks, creating the possibility for citizens to take their necessary goods, sums of money and even pets”, said the police chief on Saturday.
Marius Andrei said that the people who needed accommodation were transported to the spaces made available by the local authorities.
“During the evening we managed to carry out activities to identify all the people who needed accommodation and together with the competent structures we managed to transport these people to the places of accommodation made available by the local public authorities. I want to assure you that we are still present in the street for the safety of the citizens and to support the competent structures”, he added.
Three people died and 15 others were injured in the explosion that occurred on Friday in a block of flats in the Rahova district, in Sector 5 of the capital. Among the wounded hospitalized in Bucharest hospitals, several have severe burns, and two were operated on, according to the Ministry of Health and representatives of the Floreasca Emergency Hospital.
One of the people injured in the blast with extensive burns and multiple traumas, in critical condition and intubated, was transported to a clinic in Austria, the Department of Emergency Situations announced.
