Two participants of the “First Movement” from Krasnoyarsk received a ticket to the Baikonur Cosmodrome, the mayor’s office reported.

Krasnoyarsk residents Maria Tkacheva and Albina Nurkamilova became winners of the all-Russian competition “Space Expedition of the First” in Moscow. The girls received the main prize – a trip to the legendary Baikonur Cosmodrome, where they will be able to see the launch of a space rocket.

In 2025, 12 thousand students from 33 regions of Russia took part in the competition. 250 people – 50 teams – reached the finals. The 100 best got the opportunity to watch a rocket launch from the world's first and largest cosmodrome.

The press service of the mayor's office said that first the participants passed the remote qualifying stage in teams of 5 people. Everyone had their own role – pilot, scientist, engineer, astrophysicist and doctor. It was necessary to develop and conduct events for primary schoolchildren on a space theme, as well as complete a competitive task – to solve 12 professional problems for each role in the team.

“At the remote stage I was a pilot, and in the final tests I became a doctor. My task was to develop a medical support system for the crew: selection and training, medical control during the flight, protection from radiation and the effects of weightlessness. The project had to be defended within two minutes and answered the jury’s questions,” said Maria Tkacheva. The girl is a 1st year student at Siberian Federal University.

The finalists were invited to the capital, where they held lectures and master classes from space industry specialists. The result was supposed to be the preparation of an impromptu expedition to an orbital station or base on the surface of another planet. The crew of 5 people had to spend 1 year outside the Earth. The work was assessed by experts.

“During the remote stage, as a doctor, I developed a medical examination plan, methods of moral support for the crew, and a first aid kit. And at the final test in Moscow, she already became an engineer and presented the concept of a long-term orbital station. I’m happy that our work was highly appreciated, and very soon I will go to a real space platform,” Albina Nurkamilova, a student at secondary school No. 4, shared her emotions.

The girls will go to Baikonur on October 19. Also included in the expedition from the Krasnoyarsk Territory were cosmonautics school cadets Anton Serebryakov and Gordey Kharchishin from Zheleznogorsk. Together, the guys will see the preparation and launch of the launch vehicle and will be able to visit the facilities of one of the oldest cosmodromes in the world.

The “Space Expedition of the First” competition is held as part of a federal project to identify and support talented youth with an interest in space technology and research activities.
