In second place are squirrels – 18 residents of the region complained about their bites. The attacks mainly occurred in the Krasnoyarsk eco-park “Gremyachaya Griva” during attempts to feed, pet or catch the animals.
Also this year, residents of the region were bitten by beavers, monkeys, rats, chipmunks, bats, etc.
“In most cases, bites were provoked by the victims themselves, so it is important to remember that wild animals carry the risk of contracting various infections, including rabies. In the event of a bite, scratch or salivation by animals, it is necessary to contact doctors as soon as possible to provide qualified assistance,” Rospotrebnadzor said.
