“Borduriada” by Robert Negoiță continues. The City Hall of Sector 3 invents red sidewalks on the green space at the edge of the IOR Park
A paving operation with red pavers and curbs is taking place in Sector 3, this time right next to the IOR Park. The City Hall of Sector 3 arranges, through a company, a sidewalk on the green space, writes the website B365.ro.
For several weeks, the residents who live a few streets from the edge of the IOR Park have been witnessing a new operation to build a sidewalk in an area where it did not exist. This time it is not about removing parts of the gardens in front of the blocks and turning them into red-tiled pavements, as was done in the past, but about the tiny space between the IOR Park fence and the car park.
The operation takes place in the area of Lotrioara Street.
Practically a green surface with a width of about 1 meter is concreted with red “Negoita brand” stone biscuits, as all the sidewalks in the sector tend to be.
Following complaints made by citizens, the city manager of the Capital, Lucian Judele, called the local police to identify the workers who are in charge of paving the sidewalk and who were unable to present an authorization for the work.
As a result of the works on the future sidewalk laid out in this area, several trees were damaged. Since sand was poured next to them and pavers were installed, the trees have a good chance of drying out.
“I came this morning and, indeed, I noticed trees that are injured, touched, as a result of these works. Trees whose roots have all been broken. And this, so to speak, future sidewalk that the City Hall of Sector 3 wants to build at the border of the IOR park. But where? Not in a parking lot, not concrete on top of concrete, but on the green space,” said Judele.
