The Kremlin acknowledged on Wednesday that US President Donald Trump did not congratulate his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin when he turned 73 on October 7.

“No, there were no” greetings, “Kremlin spokesman, Dmitri Peskov, answered his daily press conference, reports EFE, quoted by Agerpres.

Putin as a personally congratulated Trump at the age of 79, on June 14, when they had a telephone call that day.

The US president stated last week that he is “very good” with his Kremlin counterpart, although he threatened Russia that the US could provide Ukraine Tomahawk with long range.

The two leaders had several telephone calls this year and a summit on August 15 in Alaska. However, the resolution of the conflict in Ukraine is in a deadlock, as Russia is primarily concerned about territorial issues, while Kiev and its European supporters are concerned about security guarantees for Ukraine.

It is not known when the next discussion between Putin and Trump will take place, Peskov said on Wednesday, also answering a question.

Putin warned the US that the possible delivery of Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine would irretrievably affect Russian-American relations, the Russian president insisting that such missiles required by Kiev to hit the depth of the Russian territory cannot be operated by the Ukrainian army without American assistance.

On the other hand, the Kremlin expressed his support for granting the Nobel Peace Prize to the American president, but he did not obtain it. Russia is careful not to criticize Trump too much, which has been repositioned in favor of Ukraine and will have a new meeting with Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski on Friday, while the latter insists on increasing Western military aid in the War with Russia and especially on obtaining Tomahawk missiles.
