Three young people were filmed while in a car, one of them manipulating a gun, and the other apparently holding a baseball stick. The images arrived on the Internet, and the police have started investigations, identifying those involved. On Wednesday, October 15, there were searches at their homes in Maramureș County, being discovered an Airsoft type gun.

IPJ Maramureș has announced that it has started checks as a result of images in the public space. “On October 13, 2025, the police officers of the Service of Weapons, Explosives and Dangerous Substances were notified ex officio and prepared a criminal case in terms of committing the crime of non -observance of the weapons and ammunition regime. As a result of the activities carried out, the police identified the young people from the pictures and today, October 15, under the coordination of the case prosecutor within the Prosecutor's Office attached to the Vișeu de Sus District, they have executed three searches at the homes of the three young people, suspected of committing the criminal activity “said IPJ Maramureș, according to News.ro.
As a result of the searches, an airsoft type gun was discovered.
