As the website explained, Paramount now has several options to take over Warner Bros.: raise its offer, go directly to shareholders or find additional support from a financial partner.

According to CNBC, the companies are in talks on a deal but disagree on price, and Paramount may go public with its offer to put pressure on Warner Bros.

During the Bloomberg Screentime conference last week in Los Angeles, Paramount CEO David Ellison noted that he could not comment on Warner Bros., but he spoke in favor of further mergers in the industry. He stressed that he wants to produce more films and TV shows to increase the number of subscribers to the Paramount+ streaming service.

According to Warner Bros. analysts may have an advantage in negotiations, Bloomberg reported. “We believe Paramount needs this deal more, given its weak position and lack of a clear strategy,” experts said.

A few months ago, Warner Bros. revealed a plan to divide the company into two parts. One company will cover a film and television studio and streaming services, and the other will cover cable networks. Paramount may want to conclude a deal with the company before the split to avoid a price war, wrote the Wall Street Journal.
