112 number is out of order. The spokeswoman of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration spoke out and appealed to callers


Problems with the number 112 have been confirmed, among others: in the province Świętokrzyskie and Opole provinces. Karol Rymszewicz from the Inter-Enterprise Organization of Emergency Number Operators OPZZ Konfederacja Pracy told PAP that The first report about problems with calling 112 was received after 8. According to him, the problems also concerned the 999 number.
This is so disturbing that the spokeswoman of the Ministry of Interior and Administration refers to him. In an interview with Wirtualna Polska, the spokeswoman of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration emphasized that intensive activities are underway to determine the source of the problem. — At this point, we cannot say whether it is a long-term fault that will require major repairs or something temporary. Please call 999 to report any incidents – Gałecka noted.
In an interview with PAP, she added that “I have no information that emergency issues cannot be reported to 999.”
At this moment, the cause of the failure remains unknown.
A failure may significantly impede rapid response to threats. The Ministry of Interior and Administration assures that the situation is being monitored and the relevant services are working to restore full functionality of the system.

The number 112, which is a key part of the emergency response system across Europe, is used to report situations requiring intervention by the emergency services. It was established by resolution of the Council of Europe on July 29, 1991.
In Poland, the number 112 was introduced in 2005. Apart from it, there are other, more specialized emergency numbers.
