A lawyer from Yakutia called the judge a Ukrainian and lost his status for five years
The incident occurred when Yakut lawyer Mikhail Yakovlev received a call from the court secretary. She should have warned the lawyer that his client had been given a date for choosing a preventive measure.
However, Yakovlev was clearly not in the mood for a business conversation. He stated that he was “hungover at the moment,” swore at the judges, “among whom there are many crests,” and personally at the judge with the last name Denisenko.
After this, the secretary realized that the conversation had reached a dead end. After hanging up, she reported everything to her superiors, and a disciplinary case was opened against Yakovlev.
The lawyer himself claims that it was not he himself who cursed and called the judge a Ukrainian, but his friend. They were drinking together, but by the time of the call Yakovlev allegedly was already asleep. The lawyer’s phone was constantly ringing; they wanted to turn it off, but they got confused and pressed answer.
However, the court did not believe the story about a friend and deprived Yakovlev of the status of a lawyer for 5 years. However, he no longer regrets anything – having been left without the right to work as a lawyer, he went into business and now enjoys life.
