Sebastien Lecornu becomes prime minister again. Macron gives carte blanche

The French president, according to the AFP agency, gave Lecorn full freedom in forming a new cabinet. Nevertheless, the politician's return to the position of prime minister was met with sharp criticism from the opposition.
The National Union (RN) has already announced that it will express a vote of no confidence in the future government. Jordan Bardella, leader of the Supervisory Board, commented harshly on the decision to re-appoint Lecorn, calling it a “bad joke”. The party plans not only to vote for a no-confidence vote, but also to support the impeachment motion announced by the Left Unaffiliated (LFI).
Meanwhile, the Socialist Party, on whose support Lecornu counted during his first attempt to form a government, dissociated itself from any agreements with the new prime minister. The Socialists announced that they did not intend to refrain from expressing a vote of no confidence in his cabinet.
Sebastien Lecornu was appointed prime minister for the first time on September 9, but stepped down less than a month later. The reason was controversy related to the selection of government members. This time, President Macron gave him carte blanche, i.e. full freedom in shaping the composition of the cabinet.
The French will have to wait for details about the new government. Meanwhile, political tensions in the country appear to be escalating.
