Soup-broth without “problems” – a spicy “brew” on the bone: homemade people slurp it by the liter and snack on croutons

Everyone needs soup every day, but often they are too lazy to prepare it: the broth must be boiled, the vegetables must be cut and washed, fried, and something else needs to be “thrown in.” In general, you don’t always want to bother. The author of the blog Village Notes (12+) on the Zen platform (12+) told how to turn ordinary broth into a tasty and satisfying lunch.

Ingredients:

  • Beef or chicken bones – 700–800 g
  • Water – 2.5–3 liters
  • Garlic – 3-4 cloves
  • Crackers – 300 grams
  • Salt and pepper – to taste
  • Boiled eggs – 3-4 pieces, optional
  • Spicy herbs (dill, parsley, basil, cilantro, bay leaf) – to taste

How to make delicious bone broth:

  1. Rinse the bones well. If you want a richer taste, you can pre-roast them in the oven at 200°C for about 20 minutes. But you don't have to worry about it.
  2. Place all the good stuff into a large saucepan and cover with cold water. Bring to a boil over medium heat. As soon as foam appears, carefully remove it with a spoon.
  3. Reduce the heat to low and simmer the broth covered for 3-4 hours – the longer, the tastier and healthier. 15 minutes before the end of cooking, add peeled garlic cloves and herbs. Salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Strain the finished broth through a sieve. Pour into plates, add crackers and, if desired, half a boiled egg, it will be even more satisfying.

That's all. It turned out to be a tasty and healthy collagen-protein lunch. Bon appetit.
