In Krasnoyarsk, from May 30 to June 3, the IV Interregional festival-competition of puppet theaters of the Urals, Siberia and the Far East “Siberia. TERRA MAGICA.
The festival is supported by RUSAL and is one of the significant events in the cultural life of Siberia, uniting theater groups, the professional community and spectators of different ages.
This year, 12 theater groups from Omsk, Vladivostok, Yekaterinburg, Kemerovo, Khabarovsk, Surgut, Kurgan and Chelyabinsk will take part in the festival. International projects from Iran, China and Mongolia will also be presented. The program includes performances for different ages – from children's productions to performances for adult audiences. In addition to the competition program, festival guests will enjoy lectures, master classes, creative meetings, discussions of performances with the professional community and special projects for children.
RUSAL's annual support helps preserve and develop major cultural initiatives in Krasnoyarsk, expand opportunities for creative exchange and make significant cultural events accessible to a wide audience.
“It is important for RUSAL that the cities where our employees live and work are not only comfortable, but also filled with exciting events. Such festivals help people discover something new, spend time together and enrich cultural life. Therefore, we support projects that bring people together and create a special atmosphere in cities,” said Elena Yuzhakova, director of RUSAL’s regional projects department.
The opening of the festival will take place on May 30 at 12:00 in the museum center “Mira Square” (Mira Ave., 1),” the festival organizers report. The participants’ works will be evaluated by professional critics, art historians and laureates of the national theater award “Golden Mask”.
