Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan welcomed the decisions of the Constitutional Court of Romania (CCR) on Wednesday night, which were declared constitutional two of the laws for which the Government has assumed the responsibility in Parliament-the one regarding the corporate governance and the one regarding the health reform. However, the prime minister made no reference to the draft law on the pensions of the magistrates, on which the RCC postponed a decision for October 20.

“Today's decisions of the Constitutional Court allow us to implement two more important reforms: that of the state companies and the reform of the health system, for which the Government of Romania has committed its responsibility through the package 2 reforms.

These two decisions are added to the last month of the RCC regarding the law of self -financed authorities, so that three of the five normative acts in package 2 have already passed the constitutionality test. The three mentioned laws allow us to reduce unnecessary positions, to cap allowances and to establish performance indicators in state-owned companies, to cut excessive salaries and self from self-financed public authorities and to bring increased efficiency in public health, ”wrote Ilie Bolojan in a Facebook page.

According to him, “we need a fair state, which does not play public money and offers decent services in exchange for the taxes they receive.”

“It is not easy to change the wrong patterns formed over the years, but every day we make efforts to straighten things,” said the prime minister.

The Constitutional Court postponed the second time the decision on the pensions of the magistrates

The RCC postponed for October 20 a decision on the law of the Bolojan Government that amends the magistrate's pension system.

For the same date, a decision was postponed to the draft law that includes the new taxes and fiscal measures from the Ministry of Finance.

The decision to postpone on the changes made to the pensions of the magistrates is justified by the fact that the rapporteur judge on this file, the president of CCR Simina Tănăsescu, has not yet submitted the conclusions, and the term to submit them has expired on Monday, according to HotNews sources, who discussed under the condition of confidentiality, due to the subject.

The draft law on corporate governance was constitutionally declared on Wednesday by the RCC, which rejected the notifications, can also.

Also, the notifications were rejected for the draft law on health reform. And this law was declared constitutional, so it goes to promulgation to President Nicușordan.

In the last two weeks, the CCR gave the green wave to a single project out of the five, the one regarding the changes made to ASF, ANCOM and ANRE. Then, the RCC rejected the notifications made for this law by the opposition, and in the meantime the law entered into force, after being promulgated by President Nicușor Dan.
