Reactions to the agreement

Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu responded by declaring that “with God's help we will bring them back [zakładników] home.” In another entry, he emphasized that on Thursday he would convene a meeting with the participation of ministers and the agreement would be officially approved.

Hamas representatives also announced that an agreement had been announced to “end the war in the Gaza Strip, withdraw troops from the area, provide humanitarian aid and exchange prisoners.”

“We call on President Trump, the countries guaranteeing the agreement and all parties involved … to force the occupation government to fully implement the terms of the agreement and not to delay or evade the implementation of what has been agreed,” Hamas said in a statement.

The Times of Israel website reported that Hamas is to release all living Israeli hostages on Saturday.

Earlier, on Wednesday morning, negotiations took place in Egypt, attended by Steve Witkoff, the US envoy for the Middle East, and Jared Kushner, who previously held this position. Groups of negotiators representing Israel and Hamas, the prime minister of Qatar and intelligence chiefs from Turkey and Egypt also participated in the talks.
