An illuminated sign was installed at the Krasnoyarsk music school on Svobodny

In Krasnoyarsk on the building of children's music school No. 3 named after. B.G. Krivosheya on Svobodny Avenue installed an illuminated sign.

The mayor's office recalled that the school is one of the oldest in the region, over 60 years old. In the summer of 2024, the building was closed for major renovations, as there was a threat of its destruction.

The heating system is currently being installed, the old fencing on the staircases has been dismantled, and new railings will be installed soon. Workers also began laying porcelain tiles on the steps.

The roof renovation work has been completed, the builders have replaced utility networks and installed plastic windows. The offices and corridors were lined with ceiling tiles. For each floor we chose a different wall color. Inside, all that remains is to finish the slopes on the windows, lay tiles on the floor, and repair the remaining bathrooms.

“We managed to solve the most important task – to strengthen the structure and save the school from the threat of destruction, so that young musicians could continue their studies in safe, comfortable and modern conditions. I am sure that after such a major renovation the school will serve for many more years,” noted Lyubov Sakharova, head of the main department of culture.

The contractor is currently renovating the building's façade. A sign with the name of the school was installed at the end of the building. At night it will be clearly visible thanks to the backlight.

“As soon as the floor on the third floor is ready, we will slowly begin to bring in furniture and arrange musical instruments. Together with the children and parents, we are really looking forward to the opening of our updated school. It will be a real holiday for everyone,” said Tatyana Romanovskaya, director of children’s music school No. 3.

The city budget allocated 50 million rubles for the comprehensive renovation of the school. It is planned that it should be completed by the end of autumn. The renovated institution will be able to open its doors closer to the New Year. During the reconstruction, 500 young musicians continue their studies at the gymnasium No. 9, Children's educational center No. 1, and the City Palace of Culture.
