The pilgrimage from Iasi dedicated to Saint Parascheva has officially started, already attracting thousands of believers from all over the country, but also from abroad. Despite the rain and the cold at night, people remained in a row, some hungry in blankets, others with umbrellas, waiting patiently to reach the rack with the relics of the Moldovan protector.
On Wednesday morning, the processing of removing the relics from the Metropolitan Cathedral took place. The job, officiated by a priesthood, was followed by a moment of silence and prayer, while the believers filled the metropolis. The scraper with the relics of Saint Parascheva was then placed in the canopy adorned with flowers in the courtyard of the cathedral, where it will remain until October 15th.
