The National Payment Card system (NSPK) and VTB presented a new payment scenario through the fast payments system (SBP). The service will allow the bank customers to generate a QR code themselves and pay for their purchases quickly and safely. This was reported to the bank as part of the FINOPOLIS 2025 forum.
A new way will be available in an online bank. Before paying, the client using the “Payment of my QR” button in the “Payments” section selects the write-off invoice and generates the QR code. Further, it is enough for the user to show the code to the seller who scans it.
The functionality will also be available to users of the payment Pay service. Pilot payments through the service will be held as part of Finopolis 2025, and next year it will become public.
“Payment using your own QR code significantly increases the convenience and reliability of payments. Now it is enough to form a QR code with one click and show it to the seller-all operations are held quickly, without the need to manually scan other people's codes and enter data. This not only reduces the risks of phishing and errors, but also makes purchases easier by saving our time, ”said Olga Skorobogatova, First Deputy President of VTB President.
“Together with banks, NSPK is developing and improving payment services for Russians. This year we presented a personal QR code, which will be displayed directly on the smartphone screen. Such a scenario is especially in demand in places with high cross -country ability in the cash register – just get a gadget and form a code for payment for a couple of clicks. Now the decision is being tested with a number of banks, the pilot project will last until the beginning of April 2026, ”said Dmitry Dubynin, general director and member of the NPC board.
