

Guguev took place in the case of “confidential cooperation with foreigners.” For this, the Moscow City Court appointed four years in colony of general regime and a year and a half restriction of freedom.
Media said that at one time, Guguev was sentenced to 12 years in prison for murder, causing harmfulness and theft. He went to the war in Ukraine, having served 10 years. In Ukraine, he was captured. Later, he and other Russian prisoners of war were exchanged for Ukrainian prisoners of war.
In captivity, Guguev gave an interview (“present” clarifies that it was published in May 2023) to journalist Dmitry Karpenko for YouTube channel of Ukrainian video blogger Vladimir Zolkin, in it he spoke about large losses among the Russian military.
In the same year, after the exchange, in the Russian Federation, Guguev gave a second interview with Karpenko, in which he continued to criticize the military leadership of Russia and claimed that in the Russian Federation he was offered to announce that he was “forced to” give an interview in Ukraine, Mediazona reports.
“The present” noted that in the second interview to the Ukrainian journalist, in July 2023, Guguev said that they did not let go home for more than a month, who were returned from captivity, and also complained that he was not provided with HIV therapy.
