

Adomavichyus stayed for the posts of the Minister of Culture of Lithuania for only a week. He resigned after the scandal caused by his interview with the Lithuanian media. In particular, he did not answer the question whose Crimea, and accused the journalist of provocations.
At a farewell press conference, the journalists again asked Adomavicius, whose Crimea. To which he replied that Ukraine, but added that, “unfortunately, occupied.”
To clarify why did not immediately answer this question, Adomaviciyus said that “we must ask questions correctly.”

On October 3, during an interview with Lrytas.lt, Adomavicius from the ultra -right Party of Zarya Niman, appointed by the Minister on September 25, called the journalist’s question, whose Crimea, and left the answer to him. “Let's not play these games. After that, at the insistence of Lithuanian Prime Minister Inga Ruginen, against the background of a wave of criticism from the public, he announced a resignation. Ruginen emphasized that Lithuania’s position relative to Crimea remains unchanged. “Crimea is a part of Ukraine occupied by Russia. And this is not a subject for discussions,” the prime minister said.
