Russian scientist from Harvard University Ksenia Petrov was arrested in the United States. Law enforcement officers accused her of smuggling of the frog embryos. If a 31-year-old girl is found guilty, then she faces up to 20 years in prison.
According to the American media, she did not declare the samples that she transported with her in her bag. At the hearing in the Federal District Court, the State Duma Petrova said that the Trump administration intends to deport the scientist back to the Russian Federation, from which she left in 2022.
