The police detained the “Lego baron”, who collected stolen Lego sets worth $200 thousand (17.5 million rubles) in the USA
Fraudsters stole more than 4,000 Lego sets from major chain stores and then resold them to a “dealer.” The suspects were detained in Oregon.
The investigation lasted three months. During this time, law enforcement officers found out that the owner of the Brick Builders store collaborated with the robbers and bought boxes of construction sets from them for next to nothing.
He told police that he just wanted to “realize his childhood dream.” However, according to police, the stolen LEGO sets were immediately exchanged for cash to buy drugs for resale.
